This class provides students with hands on experience that prepares them to perform orthopedic assessments within the field of athletic training. Students learn to take medical histories, palpate bony and soft structures, perform range of motion, neurological and circulatory tests. Students will learn to perform orthopedic tests of the upper extremities, head, cervical spine and abdomen. This class involves lectures, laboratory and clinical hours.
